The goal of this series is to celebrate the epic and everyday Boise moments that have built our community’s history. Using social media and photo archives I want to collect images of historical and contemporary Boise to create intimate and approachable paintings inspired by the city and it’s people.
Thanks to the Alexa Rose Foundation and the grant I was awarded, I have been spending my time experimenting with new collage techniques and mediums for this project. I will continue to document my process and experiment for the rest of 2017 as I work towards building a new collaborative series with the Idaho State Archive and city of Boise.
