This is YOUR Boise Series
I might be biased, but Boise is a beautiful city. ThisIsBoise.com has done an amazing job of curating a space for locals and visitors to share their experiences and to discover new elements of the city via the hashtag #ThisIsBoise. Boasting the slogan "Bored? Don't blame us!" they have amassed a stunning 36K+ followers and connected at least that many to their local businesses and entertainment. So naturally, they were the perfect group to collaborate with.
This series aims to create paintings that celebrate the people and place of Boise by collaging photos from the #ThisIsBoise hashtag and then sculpting and painting a universal transparent image over the top.
Since this kind of work could not exist without a community of exceptional phone photographers, each series benefits an organization or program in the local community. For the This is YOUR Boise series, a percentage of all print and original sales goes towards scholarships for youth to take Young Rembrandts after school drawing classes.
